I was first introduced to this medicine wheel back in September, 2014. My group knew this a local friend who took us up here and on the same trip, my group and I, completed the seventh line between the inner circle and outer circle. Our dear friend stated over last six years, she ran into some group and led them up here, but no one had asked about the number of the lines should be. I asked that question and instinctively I knew we came to line up the last line with rocks and we did it instantly.
Traditional medicine wheel has East, South, West and North, four doors to the Past, Present and Future, just like the inner circle. And this particular medicine wheel extends to the outer circle with seven lines. They represent seven gateway portals and resonate with the seven sacred flames as well. I believe the last line, we made, represents "The First Ray" - The Flame of the Will of God. Color of Royal Blue. And why? Because when I picked up the group at Medford Airport and we were all shocking surprised that all of our luggages were color blue related, including mine and I wore a blue shirt with blue jeans. So when we completed the line, I called it Blue Ray line and also named this medicine wheel, "Earth Guardian Medicine Wheel". Blue Ray is also about speaking the truth from your heart, healing through communications.
This is a very sacred place, guardians like our friend spends time and effort to bring the special rocks from all over the country as well as maintaining the current, especially after each winter snow melt. So if you happen to encounter EGMW here in Mt Shasta, please go in with respect and peace. Leave it as it appears, although you are welcome to leave prayers (can be with crystals) and take nothing unless you are guided to do so. I especially give thanks to my dear friend for what an outstanding work she did for EGMW. It is an extremely powerful vortex and also very peaceful and healing circle you can sit in and meditate.
